Planning for your maternity session,
9 months in the making
I wanted to take a moment to talk about how to coordinate your outfit for your maternity portraits session. There's a lot of things that come into play with
deciding what you want to wear.... where you are going to be photographed , in studio or outdoors whether not you'd like full-length portraits and if you'll be photographed alone or with your significant other.
I highly suggest laying out the outfits ahead of time and if you have any questions at all feel free to take a Quick cell phone snapshot and text it to me! I am more than happy to help you decide on your final outfits when in doubt bring extra with you.
Planning for an outdoor portrait session I suggest wearing very comfortable shoes as chances are we will be moving from one location to the other flip-flops are great option as we can remove them and just go barefoot for the portraits , or quickly change into another option.
For outdoor sessions I suggest dressing casually, however plan on your outfit being pressed stain free and in good condition. Dress in layers as sometimes it is cold in the woods or by the water. Maxi dress's and long flowy skirts are a great look and can be bought just about anywhere most maxi dress's can be purchased in the regular sized clothing you most likely won't need a maternity one.
. Long-sleeve always photographs best , on men , and women. please plan accordingly. I highly suggest solid neutral tones and feel free to add a pop of color with fun accessories.
Maternity Photography Gowns
I also have loads of maternity gowns that you can wear ranging from solid, lace, see threw and two piece! please be sure to let me know in advance if you'd like to use my gowns I will bring them outdoors if requested! I always have them out and ready for studio sessions.
Ultimately you want to be true to your own sense of style however think more timeless classic pieces than trendy ones as trendy will outdated stuff quickly and you won't want it on the wall.
If you choose to use some of my maternity gowns please let me know ahead of time I will have them with me for the session.
FUN WITH FABRIC AND CUSTOM CREATIONS
If we are taking a portrait in the studio and you would like me to create a custom look for you that is
a great option and so fun!
