I had the opportunity to travel to the largest professional photography convention in America. Where I took part in PPA’s Council meeting as a newly appointed councilor. After my first meeting we had the opportunity to tour the recently renovated facilities.
I was also to received my Photographic Craftsman Degree in person on stage in front of many of my peers. The degree was presented to Bailey Fox by PPA president Stephen Thetford, M.Photog.Cr., CPP. This degree is not merely a piece of paper. It means that I have met the standards of excellence set by PPA. I was awarded the Photographic Craftsman degree in recognition for my service to the photographic profession as an orator, author and mentor.
The coolest part is I was one of only 73 recipients, around the world!
It was an amazing experience to get all dolled up and walk across a stage surrounded by my friends and those at the top of the industry. I hope to continue improving/ challenging my artistic skill, and experience I craft for my clients.
After receiving my degree, I officially became a new member of the American Society of photographers. At the banquet I was surrounded by many of my friends in the photography industry throughout New England. It was an exciting evening where one of my friends from a regional group received her Fellowship, which was following her already amazing achievement of winning the Grand imaging Award! It was a nice evening over all shared by many who I hold in esteem.
